Mary Reilly is a 1990 novel by the English writter Valerie Martin. It was nominated for the Nebula Award for Best Novel in 1990 and the World Fantasy Award for Best Novel in 1991.
The novel is about a young girl working at the home of Dr. Henry Jekyll who falls in love with her master; Jekyll's assistant, Edward Hyde, is her nemesis. Martin's novel is a re-work of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic novel The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.
Martin's novel was the basis for the 1996 film, Mary Reilly.
