Mary Woronov (born December 8, 1943) is an American actress, well known for her roles in Cult films; she has appeared in over 80 movies. She first made headlines as one of Andy Warhol's Factory superstars, and danced with The Velvet Underground in Warhol's Exploding Plastic Inevitable. She is a published author of such books as Blind Love and Swimming Underground: My Years in the Warhol Factory.[1]

Woronov was born in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of Carol and Victor Woronov. Her stepfather was a cancer surgeon. Early in her career, in the mid 1960s, she was a dancer in Andy Warhol's Exploding Plastic Inevitable show, which featured the Velvet Underground.

Woronov's notable appearances include in the 1975 cult film Death Race 2000 and 1979's Rock 'n' Roll High School, but her breakthrough was the 1982 cult film Eating Raoul. She has also starred in several films with "Eating Raoul" co-star Paul Bartel, and was in the 1984 movie Night of the Comet with "Eating Raoul" co-star Robert Beltran. She has made guest appearances on TV shows like Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, Charlies Angels, Knight Rider, Sledge Hammer!, Babylon 5, and Highlander.
Woronov appeared on Babylon 5 as a Narn named Ko'Dath; she was to have been a series regular (and was in the opening credits of one episode), but left after she proved unable to handle the elaborate facial makeup and prosthetics necessary for the role. She also became a fan of the L.A. punk music scene and made a cameo appearance with actor Jack Nance in the 1983 Suicidal Tendencies Institutionalized video.[2]
