Massali Effect
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Massali Effect is a graphical phenomenon, first discovered by Swedish graphic designer Omid Massali. Broadly speaking, the Massali Effect refers to the pleasing visual effect obtained by placing many and varied graphical elements next to one another. Common examples include a collection of image thumbnails, logos or other similar elements.
Exploitation of the Massali Effect can create a false impression of the quality of individual elements by presenting them as part of a group.
