Matthew Charles Sing (born March 13, 1975 in Winton, Queensland) is an Australian rugby league player for Hull FC in the Super League competition.
Sing is one of the most prolific try scorers in recent years of the National Rugby League, and has represented Queensland and Australia regularly since 1995. He is currently the greatest try-scorer in the history of the North Queensland Cowboys, having scored 60 tries since joining the club in 2002. He is also one of only a handful of players to have scored 3 tries in a state of origin match.
As of February 17, 2006 Sing was the third most experienced player in the National Rugby League, having played more games than any other player at the time except for Jason Croker and Steve Menzies. Additionally, no other player besides Menzies had scored more tries than Sing.
In 2000 Matt Sing was awarded the Australian Sports Medal for his contribution to Australia's internation standing in the sport of rugby league.
Sing is currently equal-seventh in the list of all-time try-scorers in the history of professional rugby league in Australia. Should he score 20 tries during the 2006 season, he will move into outright second position. 2006 was Sing's last season in the NRL. He has moved to Hull FC in 2007 to replace the outgoing Nathan Blacklock.
