Perth journalist Melissa BEE is the author of THE MELISSA BOOK
It is the first book to completely analyse a first name in depth. A virtual 'Melissa Encyclopedia', but written with style and insight into life as a Melissa and what it may mean to the estimated six million Melissa's in the world today.
This book grew from the seed of an idea started in about 1998. That seed generated the "Melissa Pages" online, and from that interest - the book. Melissas tend to be fascinated by their name and anything to do with it. Almost 800 people each month came to my hunnybee website to visit The Melissa Pages. In the space of five years, over 48,000 visitors searched on my website.
I decided to expand on the Melissa pages and write a book. It came together over five years and was published on Friday 9th December, 2005. People just love the book, love the idea, love the theme and just love the colours on the cover. I'd like to share my beautiful book with a larger readership.
I sell the book for $20 to the general public. I am happy to sell to retailers and distributors for 40-60% trade discount. I am also looking for a publisher, so that I can begin the next series of names.
