Menaceur

Menaceur is a small town situated about 100 km to the west of Algiers, in Algeria, North Africa.

Menaceur has a population of 25,000 and is rich in clean air from the mountains. During autumn and winter, snow can be seen on the mountains facing the town. The Bouchanoun River transverses Menaceur .
Famous mountains near Menaceur are Zabrir , el Pic,Boumaad , and Tizi Franco. Famous graveyards are Leghribi, Sidi Boulemsabih, and Sidi Mohand Alantizi.

Menaceur is famous also by its hard fight against French Colonization. Tizi Franco ambushed French troops in 1957. This event had a big influence in changing French army tactics in the region and in all the territory.
