Mexican American Political Association falls under the scope of WikiProject Mexican-Americans, an effort to build a comprehensive and detailed guide to Mexican-Americans on the Wikipedia. This includes but is not limited to Mexican-Americans as well as those not so affiliated, country and region-specific topics, and anything else related to Mexican-Americans. According to the LA Times article by Ruben Salzar, MAPA's president in 1969 was Abe Tapia. ("Mexican-Americans Threaten Action for Movie, TV Jobs" January 17, 1969), in Border Correspondent. I'm not sure how to reconcile this info with what is already in the article.
Also there was disorganization in the 80s, which is not yet mentioned in this article.--Rockero 19:12, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
