I don't belive that the steptronic had a CVT, it was a paddle shift semi auto box.

The Steptronic gearbox is indeed a CVT. The semi-auto mode is simply a series of fixed settings on the CVT and is controlled by a pair of nasty cheap switches on the steering wheel or by moving the gear shift forward/back to simulate a sequential transmission.
When the TF version appeared the name was changed to Stepspeed. Dryce 23:26, 15 January 2006 (UTC)

According to the British Motor Industry article, the MG TF has entered production in 2007, and is therefore a current car. Surely this article should be in the present tense? - • The Giant Puffin • 19:35, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
