Michael S. Jeffries

Michael S. Jeffries is the current CEO of Abercrombie and Fitch, based in Columbus, Ohio.
Jeffries currently serves as Chairman of the Company and has done so since May 1998. Jeffries has been Chief Executive Officer of the Company since February 1992. From February 1992 until May 1998, Jeffries held the title of President of the Company. Under the terms of the Amended and Restated Employment Agreement between the Company and Jeffries, the Company is obligated to cause Jeffries to be nominated as a director during his employment term.[citation needed]
Jeffries is the man who is credited for turning Abercrombie and Fitch around[citation needed]. His mangement style is unconventional. He does not have an office, but works from a conference room at the company headquarters in Columbus, Ohio. He seldom wears a suit or dress clothing. He usually wears flip flops, shorts and t-shirts to work.[citation needed]
Jeffries was born in 1944 and held many buying jobs with retail companies around America.
