[edit] Personal life
Although she is very private on her personal life, she revealed in a interview for Curve Magazine that, despite having played a lesbian character, she is actually straight in real life:" "I don't want people to think I'm some symbol of the lesbian community, because I'm not a lesbian myself. I don't want people to think that I'm saying I know more than they do about their own lives."
It is rumoured that she is dating or is romantically involved with Gale Harold, her Queer as Folk co-star, but neither Michelle nor Gale Harold have confirmed or denied it.
