[edit] Vocal Profile
Michelle is a mezzo soprano, however she has a high vocal range and is comfortable as both a soprano and alto.
Michelle's a whistle register singer?
- Funny that she's listed as a whistle register singer...as well as an ALTO!!! On which songs has anyone heard her sing that high?
-
- Alto is her tessitura (technically, she is a mezzo-soprano, see def....) It doesn't mean she can't have extension that is capable of going that high. Blu Cantrell is another example of this. Antares33712 14:39, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
Michelle has a great voice I have her CD and to this day it is still my favorite. Now that the girls are going to do solo projects I think that Michelle and the girls have the potential to be as big as Micheal Jackson. I wish them the very best and hopefully there will be another Destiny's Child album.
Listen to Bootylicious. She squeaks up high at the end.
- Thats not really singing though. IF shes notes for that then so should Hilary Duff. Myke 02:37, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
-
- That's the only way she qualifies vocally that I have heard. I thought it was based on ability to hit the notes. I believe she can high a Soprano High E. If we are looking for actual high notes in a song, since we can't keep Reese witherspoon on the cat (who always squeals crystallinely on some high open vowel), she would need to go :-( Antares33712 14:13, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
From There #1 Fan: Bianca J.B.
- I've seen her perform live during the 2005 World Tour with Beyonce and that made me notice her voice alot better. Her voice is very powerful and she was singing in chest like atleast E5 very strongly. But i still have yet to hear her sing above E6.
There should vocal profile on her.
[edit] Is Michelle single or with someone?
Whoever she's with, can join Jay-Z and Roy Williams as "Destiny's Son-in-Law" jk lol
[edit] Year Born
The article says Williams was born in 1980 but she appears in the 1981 birthday list. PedanticallySpeaking 17:10, 31 January 2006 (UTC)
- Not now she doesn't. But a good 'pedantic' point nevertheless.

[edit] Grammy Awards
Since Michelle Williams joined Destiny Child's prior to the group's two Grammy wins in 2000, didn't she receive her own awards two? She was officially a member by that time. If so that would make her Grammy wins with Destiny's Child three instead of one. TJ 06:13, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
- Her bio on her official site, michellewilliamsonline.com states she has multiple Grammy awards. I'm changing it to three unless someone else can find some information that states Michelle didn't receive awards for the 2000 Grammy wins.TJ 06:18, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
- According to the official Grammy Awards site, she has won just one Grammy, for Destiny's Child's album Survivor. -- Donald Albury 12:55, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
- Michelle only receives one Grammy Award with Destiny's Child because she didn't contribute to the projects that the group won their first two Grammys for. She didn't record with Destiny's Child until the Survivor album, when they won for Independent Women, so she doesn't get a Grammy for the other two. LeToya and LaTavia did, I think, even though they left the group.24.164.197.116 02:00, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
