[1] says the rank of 10th dan was awarded unofficially to Michio Hikitsuchi. Does anyone know the details? --zeno 10:13, 26 July 2005 (UTC)
- Thinking about how differently grades were given out these days, it is not as strange as it would have been today. Tohei is often mentioned as the only 10th dan Aikikai, though. / Habj 05:06, 27 December 2005 (UTC)

The article doesn't make it clear to me whether Hikitsuchi sensei is a part of the Aikikai or not. / Habj 05:07, 27 December 2005 (UTC) Hikitsuchi Sensei is a member of Aikikai (before your death). After your death, the main teacher of Kumano Juku Dojo is Motomichi Anno, 8th Dan.
