Brenda (Regina Hall) makes her first appearance in Scary Movie, and is considered to be main character Cindy Campbell's best friend throughout the series. She appears to die in Scary Movie parodying Scream 2, but her later ressurgence can be explained by the idea that she was simply badly wounded. People yell at her and can be heard saying, "This is for Big Mamma!" meaning that she also talked at other movie theaters. She also has a brother named Shorty, who appears in the first two movies. In Scary Movie 3, she is killed again by the disfigured young woman from a mysterious, deadly videotape. After she makes a sudden reappearance in the fourth installment, she tells an astonished Cindy "I thought you were dead too." In an alternate scene, Brenda is killed by a truck falling on her. But then later in the film it shows her having a child. Which looks like a small version of the clown from Saw.

Tom Logan (Charlie Sheen) is an ex-minister and farmer who appeared in Scary Movie 3 and 4, and a parody of Mel Gibson's character from Signs. A widower who lost his wife (played by Denise Richards) in a horrific car accident, he woke up one morning to find mysterious patterns in his field . A seemingly caring and wise man, he loved his family although he didn't approve of his brother George's intended occupation (a rapper). After George's death, he continually attempted suicide, and died after he fell out of a window at the beginning of the fourth film.

Shorty Meeks (Marlon Wayans)) is the brother of Brenda Meeks and appears in Scary Movie and Scary Movie 2. He almost witnessed his sister and friends kill a man on Halloween, 1999. Near the end, he starts hanging out with the Ghostface. After the killer kills everyone except Cindy and Bobby, he is shot by Bobby. He appears again in Scary Movie 2 where he was attacked by a weed plant but was saved by Cindy, Ray, and Brenda.

Ray Wilkins (Shawn Wayans was Brenda's boyfriend and appeared in Scary Movie and Scary Movie 2. A closet homosexual, he cheated on Brenda with people like Cindy's boyfriend Bobby and Drew Decker's brother Steve, and would only have sex with Brenda if she donned his football clothes and was called "Brendon". Despite this, and many other hints, he would continually deny his homosexuality, even after receiving fellatio from Bobby.
In Scary Movie, Ray and Bobby tried to kill Cindy by copycatting Ghostface, however he attacked them at the last minute and Cindy escaped. Ray somehow survived, and by Scary Movie 2 was at college with Cindy, Brenda and Shorty, who did not seem to remember that he tried to kill them.

Mahalik (Anthony Anderson) is the co-owner of a local rap club who appears in Scary Movie 3 and 4. He and his partner CJ were both good friends with George and frequently reminded him that "the hood has always got your back." Early on in Scary Movie 3, it is implied that Mahalik may have homoerotic feelings for George, and in Scary Movie 4 it is revealed through flashback that Mahalik and CJ had become homosexual lovers. Mahalik and CJ are also known to argue with each other, often about random, trivial matters such as the differences between rats and mice.

CJ (Kevin Hart is Mahalik's best friend and later lover, who appears in Scary Movie 3 and 4.

George (Simon Rex) is Tom's brother and an aspiring rapper. A friend of rap club owner Mahalik, he is clumsy, lacks common sense, and is known for unintentionally causing trouble and subsequently getting thrown out of places (he accidentally wore a Klan-like hood in the middle of a rap battle and ruined a funeral when he thought that Brenda cadaver was still alive). George also seems to have some feelings for Cindy and the status of their relationship is a recurring theme in the film. Cody looks up to him as a father figure. He dies before Scary Movie 4 from a boxing accident.

Cody (Drew Mikuska) is an orphan who has visions of the mysterious force that is at the heart of the killer videocassette. Cody has an amazing ability to end up in a difficult situation and get out of it (in Scary Movie 3, he's hit by a car twice, is blown out of a window, is hit on the head with a shovel, a basketball, and with a baseball bat). He is another one of the people who watches the video tape. His visions also seem to give him the ability to see into the future. In the deleted scenes, Cindy was actually imagining Cody as explained. He appears to be in military school in Scary Movie 4.

Becca and Kate are the first victims of the tape in Scary Movie 3. Becca seems to be smarter than Kate. Becca is played by Pamela Anderson and Kate by Jenny McCarthy.

Buddy is Cindy's boyfriend in Scary Movie 2. He and her actually parodied Titanic in a scene. He is not heard or seen in Scary Movie 3 or Scary Movie 4. He is palyed by Christopher Masterson.

Drew is the first victim in Scary Movie. She thought she was talking to her boyfriend but it was Ghostface. She is played by Carmen Electra. Electra would return as another character in Scary Movie 4.

Bobby is Cindy Campbell's boyfriend in Scary Movie. At the end, he was revealed was Ghostface. This changed, as Doofy was revealed to be it. He died and did not return like all the other dead people in Scary Movie 2. He was played by Jon Abrahams.

Doofy is Buffy's younger brother. He has a bad mouth and spits. He thinks he is so important to the police. He was revealed to be the Ghostface. As he leaves, he takes off his dorky clothes and reveals to be handsome. He is played by Dave Sheridan.

Tom appears in Scary Movie 4. He appears to like Cindy after the death of George Logan. He was separated from his wife and his kids resent him. He saves them in the end after destroying the ass-rammer. He is played by Craig Bierko.

Buffy is Cindy and Brenda's friend. She was killed by her brother in Scary Movie. Like most of the other dead characters, she did not return in Scary Movie 2. To Brenda, she is a "Slut" She was played by Shannon Elizabeth.
