Misr Flying Institute

Misr Flying Institute established at 7 May 1932 under the name (Misr Flying School) by a Royal Decree to establish Misr Air Company which changed after that to the name (Egypt Air). and it was the duty of that new school to prepare a broad base of the pilots who will fly Egypt Air aircraft on the airways of the company that bears the name of Egypt and its flag to be based at Almaza airport (HEAZ). Due to high demand for this school has encouraged Egypt Air to open new school in Alexandria in July 1933 and thus became Egypt at the time two schools for training.
Egyptian Republic was declared on 18 June 1953
At 22 November 1971 Presidnt Sadat issued a republican decree for the establishment of National Civil Aviation Training Organization (NCATO) and Misr Flying Institute be subordinated from Egypt Air to NCATO.
