[edit] History
MJ Designs was formerly apart of Michaels, as the company of Michael's MJ Designs, before the company split in the mid 1980's. MJ Designs held the Dallas/Ft Worth market area after the split, allowing the company to grow without competition from its former partner until 1997. MJ Designs first filed Chapter 11 Bankruptcy in 1999, and was bought out by investors who re-opened 9 of the Dallas/Ft Worth stores. Under the new ownership, MJ Design's filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy again on 13 December, 2002, and closed its doors the following May of 2003.
