Moldøen
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Moldøen, Lisjemåløyna, Øyna, Måløy Island is a small island in the Ulvesund between the large island Vågsøy and the mainland. It was the original site of the town of Måløy. During World War II it was the site of a German coastal fort. Today it is land locked to Måløy by a filled out road and is the site of a park featuring the remains of the German fort, two memorials of World War II and a disc golf course. The island also has a modern rope and trawl factory, a large freeze warehouse and an ISPS port. It is also the base for several pillars of the Måløy Bridge.
