According to the 1981 census, there were 14,114 ethnic Montenegrins in Bosnia and Herzegovia. There are unknown numbers of total Montenegrins in BiH as some can consider themselves Serbs, Croats and Bosniaks and also, many people can have a Montenegrin origin or ancestry. Also, most of the Montenegrin population are located in Herzegovina. Today, most Montenegrins in BiH declare as Serbs.
