Montrose Regional Airport (IATA: MTJ, ICAO: KMTJ) is a public airport located at the northwest edge of Montrose ( ) in the southwest corner of the U.S. state of Colorado. The airport has two runways and situated at 5,759 feet (1,755 m) in elevation.
Montrose Regional Airport was dedicated June 25, 1988, with Chuck Yeager cutting the ribbon during the ceremony.
The airport is highly seasonal, in that many flights operate from MTJ only during the winter.
