From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Mr. Asia" is the name given to a drug dealing syndicate which operated in New Zealand, Australia and Britain between 1975 and 1979. The name was coined by the Auckland Star newspaper in a series of articles in August 1978.
The syndicate was headed by a New Zealander based in Singapore, Marty Johnstone. In October 1979, Johnstone was murdered by other syndicate members. The perpetrators were later convicted of his murder and served long prison sentences.
