READ FEW OF HIS FAMOUS ARTICLES

                       STOP CHILD ABUSE

This article is one of the most awful veracity based and the most realistic researched based article, which I have ever written in my life. This article has created many hindrances in my personal matters too while working for it. Even the research has made me to lose some of my known people, because they think that it is wrong to find about the bitter realities. I worked on this article for the social cause and I damn care for others who didn’t want me to write this awareness article in order to alert the young generation of our society about this abusive issue. I want to prepare youngsters for their future to deal which such incidents with dare. I have done 2 years of extensive research on the issue of CHILD ABUSE. This article is the reality based article, which has already received many international proclaimed of being so natural. I am glad to see lots of audience to appreciate my work but despair to see many who did not trust me when I started working for this article. I hate child to be abused. I want criminals to be in jail as soon as possible. Our government is taking no steps and I know few young children who had been abused by bastard abuser and for that purpose, I wrote this article to aware every one about the repute, which has already been lost by many youngsters who had been abused. May be many have thought of me wrong as I had visited several websites to gather information about child abuse and I also chatted on Mirc channels, in order to trap the accused for finding out the realities. I have talked to many who had just insanely performed such acts and tried to trap youngsters for the fulfillment of their abusive wishes. I anonymously chatted them like an innocent child, talked them on phone and also met few with lots of security protection of my relatives for me, in order to trap them to find out the reasons. It’s a noble cause and I dedicate this work for some one who is every thing to me. I know that person would feel proud of me one day, when that person will know that I have written good article for humanity awareness. What the anguish is the world is doing to deliberate towards solving the major, bitter problem of our society? i.e. dilemma of CHILD ABUSE. Children are innocent, but it doesn’t mean that we should ignore our duty to give them proper attention. The emotional scars are deeper than the physical scars. Who will fill the scars which are left behind and which could not be mended easily? I would like to congratulate and would present the award to the United Nation, Child Protection agencies and especially to the social workers, for just sitting and eating donations from the donor countries and for doing nothing to stop this serious major concerned problem. Arranging meetings, seminars etc on child abuse issue would never solve the problem until and unless governments pass any law i.e. severe punishment for the accused. I can’t solve this major problem individually. All I can do is to motivate every one to just move forward to solve this problem globally. I would like to give basic awareness to the local public as well as to the government officials, to learn about the basic facts about the major concerning problem of child abuse. Remember that Child abuse is never child's fault. It’s the fault of those dirty minds, which are like wild animals. Child abuse consists of any act, or failure to act, that jeopardizes a child's physical or emotional or mental health and development. Child abuse also means to sodomize young male or female orally or sexually.

There are three major types of child abuse: • Physical abuse • Emotional abuse • Sexual abuse • Physical child abuse is the wound resulting from physical aggression. Beating, shaking, kicking, pinching, biting, hair-pulling, burning with cigarettes, scalding water or hot objects, abuse by a sibling/relative etc are all in the category of physical abuse.

Emotional abuse is a prototype of actions that attacks a child's emotional development. It includes steady criticizing; belittling, insulting, rejecting and teasing are some of the forms these oral attacks can take.

Sexual abuse, which is our main topic of concern in this article, is critically defined as Sexual abuse of a child is any sexual act between an adult and a child (either gender). This term is also known as sodomization. or child molestation.

It includes touching; kissing, hugging or making them to allow you to touch their sex organs, forcing the child to undress, spying on a child in the bathroom or bedroom, exposing children to pornography (movies, magazines, or websites), luring a child for sexual relationships, exposing children to adult sexuality in any form like showing sex organs to a child, forced observation of sexual acts, telling "dirty" stories, child prostitution or sexual exploitation (using a child to perform sex with others), which is very common in Asian countries, intercourse, incest, rape, oral sex, sodomy or even beyond it. Sexual child abusers can be: Stepmothers, stepfathers, siblings, or other relatives, childcare professionals, peons, government officers, teachers, or athletic coaches, foster parents, truck drivers, friends, relatives, vagabond, burger boys, rich business man, strangers etc

What are the reasons, which makes a normal person to abuse child. Research has found some of the factors, which are given below Stress, lack of the nurturing qualities, difficulty controlling anger ,a personal history of being abused by some one in the past, divorce, isolation from the family or community, physical or mental health problems, alcohol or drug abuse, marital conflict, financial difficulties, for fun and pleasure, taking out frustration, short temper etc. Child abuser specially tries to trap innocent, young, cute, chubby, shy, reserved or alone child. They can use any medium to trap them like giving them gift; inviting them for a cup of tea; giving them rupees or free coupons; threat them; inspiring them by giving them extra attention etc. Child abusers are very clever. They try to trap innocent on net via mail or chat or by visiting public parks or any area, which is full of crowd.

Some signs of sexual child abuse are as follows: • Fear, depression, shyness, fever, quietness, shivering, tension, fever, stammering while talking, inappropriate interest or your child could be attention Deficit., avoidance of things related to sexuality, or rejection of own genitals or body, excessive aggression, fear of a particular person, impaired social behavior, antisocial behavior, and difficulty establishing intimate personal relationships, low self-esteem, self-injury, suicidal tendencies, eating • disorders; personality disorders, nightmares, bed wetting etc.

Steps to be taken

If you suspect child abuse, always report it for the sake of the child. Inform the victim parents and call your nearest police station or take the help of Rangers.

Do not neglect if your child wants to share some thing to you. Always build the relation of trust with your child. Do not mentally torture your child. Be calm and ask them the real scenario. Never de-motivate them to speak up. Teach them from their early age to be aware of child abusers. Teach them not to talk to any stranger or passerby. Teach your child not to receive mail, gifts, or packages from someone you don't know. Gently encourage the child to give you enough information to evaluate whether abuse may have occurred. If the child reveals the mistreatment, reinstate him/her that you believe him/her, that he/she is right to tell you, and that he/she is not bad. Who can help victim? Social worker; Teacher; Police; Lawyer; Family Member etc.

Conclusion: Now it’s the time to take action. The life of victim cannot be judged. We cannot conceive the pain in their heart properly. Governments should pass severe strict laws against child abusers so that they could not perform such act ever again in their life. The issue should be raised in all the Public and Government schools and I would request every one to circulate this researched article to your families, friends, and students etc to spread awareness among them. Your support, act of kindness and adoration towards innocent child will bring happiness and a little smile on their faces.

TIPS TO ENHANCE YOUR TEACHING SKILLS

Welcome to this new article in which further skills and techniques has been included to polish your teaching skills. Teaching is the field of Liberal Arts and it's the most demandable profession in today's world. So, in order to keep you up-to-date, it's highly recommended for all the dedicated teachers and for all the upcoming teachers to learn from others experiences. Once again I am sharing my experience with you in this article.

Always be punctual. Be on time and never be late. If you come late due to any valid reason, say Sorry.

Never try to punish any student physically. This is not in the ethics of teaching. If you really want the children to learn from their mistakes, give them warning; teach them to say sorry; Make them realize so that they can learn from their mistakes.

Always try to negate your point through good eye contact.

Treat every individual as a "UNIQUE CHILD", so that your students would feel respect for themselves within.

Never mix your family riots and never take any revenge from your students because of your mishaps with their families.

Remember that in school, your students are your responsibility and you are like their parents. So care them with affectionate.

Have a plan to go for outing with your students at least once a month in order to create a healthy atmosphere in your class.

"WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR LOVE". Stick one chart in your class and before starting class, try to ask one student to say what he/she can do for love today, and then take promise from every one to implement it in their lives. This statement should be written in the chart regularly. This will teach your students ethical perspective of life.

Know each an individual child's capabilities and abilities.

Give them time to relax in class.

If they regularly feel bore when you teach them, try to arrange educational activity for them as an alternative resource to complete your curriculum.

Treat your students like your friend.

Give them incentives or reward when they perform good work. The reward could be a gift, star, stamp, or just a good verbal slogan like Bravo! Keep it up! That’s like a good student; One of the best student of my class; Great efforts etc. This positive gesture is very necessary especially in Primary Classes.

Try to teach according to the mentality of your child. Don't try to use jargons or high profile theories in your lesson plans which a child could not understand.

Try to integrate your lesson plan with Audio Visual Aid. Use video, computers, charts, tape recorder, CD player, overhead projector, slide projector etc. It'll support your teaching.

To maintain discipline in your class, make a cartoon named as "Mimi". For that, take a chart, cut it in circle, and stick an ice cream stick to hold that chart properly. Now make smiley face on one side and sad face on another side. Sad face represents that you are angry with your students and smiley face side represents that you are happy with your students. Place this "Mimi" on the side of your white board and change the side according to the situation.

This era is totally different so please don't emphasize on rote learning.

Teaching means to teach, to develop skills in your students. So try to accept the view of your students and develop their skills to write independently using their intellect on the specific topic you have taught them.

Be true and be Natural. I never try to act artificial in my 7 years of teaching till date. Share yourself. They have rights to know your happy and sad moments and events too. It'll make them realize that you trust them and might they also share their problems, their moments with you openly.

For the realistic sharing concept you can read my Moral Story Book for Children, which is now available on all the famous websites.

Remember that Earthquakes could occur in most of the countries, anytime, without warning. Reducing hazards and knowing what to do before, during and after can make a big difference in your life. So BE PREPARED. Introduction: Earthquake occurs when shaking and vibration at the surface of the earth resulting from underground movement along a fault plane of from volcanic activity There are basically three types of earthquake: 1. Volcanic: Occurs, when any volcano abrupt in the mountainous region. 2. Tectonic: Occurs, when giant tectonic plates under ground pushes or shift. 3. Artificial: Occurs, when any country test their missiles or nuclear bombs within the country. Before Earthquake: Following are the tips for every one to pre planned before Earthquakes occur: • • For Practice and pre planning, choose a safe place in every room – under a strong table, chair, bed or desk anywhere, where you are sure that nothing can fall on you. Drop yourself under a powerful desk or table, hold on firmly, and do remember to protect your eyes and other sensitive parts of your body by pressing your face against your arm. If there’s no table, bed chair, or desk nearby, sits on the floor against an interior wall away from windows, bookcases, or tall furniture that could fall on you. Remember that in the recent Earthquake in Pakistan, most of the people have lost their hands, legs or eyes because of lack of safety planning.

• • Prepare an emergency supplies kit for your family including few mineral water bottles and non-perishable food most likely dry fruits or canned food, as well as a manual can opener, paper plates, cups, first-aid kit with essential medications, sleeping bags, flashlight and battery-operated radio with extra batteries. Keep this Kit always by your bedside. • • Get training in how to use a fire extinguisher. Learn the value of dignity of work. Don’t be shy, as this practical training would be of worth for you in the future. Remember that earthquake could take all lives, could demolish all building in seconds. Please don’t be so frustrated. Relax and stay in door until the shaking stops. • • If you're OUTDOOR, move to a clear area away from trees, signs, buildings, electrical wires, and poles. Please do not stop on or under bridges too. If you're on a SIDEWALK NEAR BUILDINGS, bend into a doorway to protect yourself from falling bricks, glass, plaster, and other debris. If you're DRIVING, pull over to the side of the road and stop. Stay inside the vehicle until the shaking is over. If you're in a CROWDED STORE OR STADIUM OR THEATER, do not rush for exits. Move away from display shelves containing objects that could fall. Protect your head with your arms while sitting on the ground or under any heavy furniture. What to do after the shaking stops • • Check yourself for injuries. Protect yourself from further danger by putting on long pants, a long-sleeved shirt, sturdy shoes, and work gloves. Give first aid for serious injuries. • • Look for and extinguish small fires. Eliminate fire hazards. • • If you had not turned off the gas when the jolts started, if you smell a gas or it’s leaking now, turned off the gas instantly. • • Be alert for Aftershocks. Each time you feel one; just drop yourself under any heavy furniture. • • Pay attention to damaged utilities. Avoid loose or dangling electric power lines and report all gas and electrical problems to the proper authorities and turned off any damaged utilities. • • Use flashlights instead of candles or lanterns. • • Wear protective shoes. Have your shoes and your Kit by your bed in case the earthquake happens in the middle of the night again. • • Inspect your home for damage. Get everyone out if your home is unsafe. • • If your building is sound, stay inside and listen for radio, or reliable news channel like ARY ONE, CNN, BBC, FM 101 etc.

RELATION OF COLOUR WITH CHILD PSYCHOLOGY

This time i am presenting in front of you all the relation of colour with child psychology. I hope that every reader would appreciate this article.

Colour is the bright site of childhood. Children love all types of colours and give an instant respond on it. However children's response differs from adults' reaction. If you are to communicate with children, colour should become your ally. But you need to use the colour language correctly. Children use limited palette, which becomes wider as they grow up.

Colour is the first characteristic, which children can distinguish. All of us have heard that children perceive only black and white colours (light and darkness). Young parents often paint nursery black-and-white, buy black-and-white toys and other stuff. But in the period from six weeks to two months the situation undergoes radical changes. First children start to distinguish red colour. Later they start to perceive other bright colours, and yellow among them.

Little children are attracted to bright colours. Numerous academic researches show that age children's preferences change. Many children under 10 call red (or pink) and yellow their favorite colours. But having grown above ten they start preferring blue. We consider it to be with the process of growing up and appearance of ability to perceive different hues of mood.

Colour preferences are closely connected with the gender. Numerous researches show that most little girls prefer pink, lavender or violet. Little boys like black and other dark colours more than girls. The question has arisen if those preferences are innate or acquired. Adults accustom little girls and boys to like certain colours choosing their clothes and toys. It's hard to give the exact answer but we are inclined to consider colour preferences to be innate. It's a difficult problem to be solved in future.

Do toys manufacturers know about it? Walk about toy department - you'll see that they are quite well aware of children's' colour preferences and use the colour to attract children's attention and sell their products, as company working for adults, they use the same strategies - colour characteristics of the trade mark, emphasizing certain features with the help of colours.

Speaking about emphasizing certain characteristics by means of colours, gender identification is only one example. If you see some product in bright colourful packaging then the manufacturer wants to affect children and means them to be the target audience. Some parents think that manufacturers too cynically play on children's feelings. But remember, how many times colour has motivated children to take some positive action.

Colour is the great mean to manipulate children and teenagers. This mean is used differently and it brings different results. Not only sellers and manufacturers use children's interest towards colours. You also can use it to teach, motivate and inspire new generation.

Colour language and children

First let's consider how children get acquainted with colours. They learn to distinguish them long before they know the names of colours. The point out right objects, before they are able to say ‘red’, 'yellow’, or 'green'. Children learn colours' names at the age of 2-5. Girls usually memorize colours names earlier than boys. Of course, all children develop differently, as the process of growing up is connected with the state of nervous system.

If you want to help children learn to distinguish colours, try to do so that children learn colours associating them with the subjects of corresponding colour. Here are typical associations, understandable for an average child

Yellow - bananas, lemons, sun etc

Red - apples, tomatoes, strawberries etc

Blue - jeans, sky, water pool etc

Green - peas, grass, leaves, clothes, parrots etc

Grey - an elephant, pencil nib etc

Brown - a bear, tree bark, a chocolate bar etc

Researches show, that, for example when you show a blue apple to a child and ask him what it is, it takes him or her more time to recognize it. Sure if you happen to communicate with little children, you know what may happen. A blue apple may seem funny to them. It testifies that a child develops the sense of humour, ability to laugh at clumsy and wrong things.

Once a child learnt to recognize and name colours, it helps him or her to learn new information. Parents always want to teach children safety regulations. We discovered that emphasizing certain qualities by means of colour helps children to remember what is dangerous. Remember that human's eye notices combination of yellow and black, and brain automatically perceives this as a sign of danger. Use these colours to mark the things, which you don't want your children to play with. You may also mark those rooms in your house, in which your children mustn't go, which are dangerous - like stairs or cellar. When your children grow, you still can use colours for teaching them. Certain researches showed that children with attention problems cope with the task better when stimulated with colours. Improvement was as significant as when using drugs. It means the colour can be used in medicine. If your child doesn’t like to eat same boring dull food, any food colour could be added in their food to make food appear colourful and interesting.

                  BENEFITS OF GARLI

For generation, people are not only using garlic because of its medicinal value, but traditionally, people have rubbed their bodies with it, buried it besides their bodies in coffin, worn it around their necks, draped it on household walls and even prayed to it. This great bulb has a lot of benefits, because no other plant has been held out for so long as a cure for so many human ailments. That’s why garlic has been considered as the “Wonder Drug”.

Garlic has been used medicinally for many years for treating bites, tumors, ulcers, snakebite, wounds, headaches, heart diseases, cancer, pimples, measles and many more. It also prevents infections such as the common cold, cough because of its Anti-bacterial, Anti-fungal and Anti-viral property.

As this proverb is very common that

“An apple a day, keeps the doctor away.”

In the same manner,

“A single bulb of garlic a day, keep diseases away.”

In general, it exhibits antioxidant activity, which is good for your skin. It also contains flavonoids, which is good for heart and body. Garlic contains a range of compounds including “Allicin”, which is a pungent oily liquid that gives crushed garlic cloves their characteristic smell, and has been shown to be the antibacterial agent due to its active sulphur.

Raw garlic is very smelly, so in order to reduce it smells, you can simply add it to your gravy, salad dressings, to soup, yummy pizza or just garnish it before serving or have it in your own style.

TIPS: Garlic is just magnificent and phenomenal. I am providing few of the basics known and reliable home remedies for some specific ailments, which you could try at your home .

• If you have cold and flu, then take small amount of garlic every day until the infection disappears. Garlic tends to reduce the frequency of colds and flu without any side effects. A suggested dose would be two or three cloves of raw or cooked garlic a day.

• We all face horrid acne, blemishes, and blackheads during our teens. If you want to reduce it, or if you just want to glow up your skin, then take two cloves of raw garlic regularly with warm water early in the morning. It works as a blood cleanser and clean your system internally. Do not eat chocolates, spicy or oily food during this treatment and rinse your face five times a day with cold water. Drink lots of water daily to flush off toxic waste from the blood and urinate whenever you feel that your bladder is full. Else, apply a cut clove gently on the affected area only if you have no sensitivity to it.

• If you have High Cholesterol Level, use garlic in your food. This is the better way for heart patients to reduce their cholesterol level. Modern medical science suggests one reason that garlic might reduce cholesterol, i.e. “Garlic is a proven anti-oxidant”. This property might help to prevent LDL (Low Density Lipo Protein) from being oxidized. In this way the cholesterol build-up that clogs the arteries could perhaps be reduced by garlic.

• If you are very fat and want to loose weight, squeeze half lemon juice in one glass of luke warm water and drink it with two cloves of raw garlic regularly twice a day (morning and evening), for about three months. Avoid using starchy foods and fats. Do exercise regularly. You’ll amazingly fell a great change in your body.

• If you have Wrinkles, and you want to use anti ageing cream, it would be better to use 3 cloves of garlic regularly as it has a powerful antioxidant effect, which help to protect the body against damaging “Free Radicals”. Remember, our skin is made up of collagen and it looses elasticity on yearly basis. Therefore, use garlic and do exercise regularly for the positive results.

• If you have Earache, put two or three drops of warm garlic oil in the ears.

• Take garlic to boosts the weight of babies in the womb. Thus, when they are born, they are heavier than they would have been if you hadn’t taken garlic. Some babies are born too small, so garlic is a definite boon in these cases too.

• Use two raw garlic bulb daily to reduce the risk of cancer, due to its Anti-Carcinogenic properties. It helps prevent cancerous compounds from forming and developing into tumors. It also inhibits the growth of tumors.

• If any insect bites you at the seaside, you just crush the garlic and apply it to the affected area to reduce pain and to remove poison.

HOW TO TAKE GARLIC:

Crush two or three small cloves of raw garlic and eat it raw or boiled, before going to sleep. You can have it with a glass of milk or with water. Please do not take more than two or three raw cloves of garlic per day as it might makes your blood thinner and might cause serious ailments.

Contra-indications/precautions:

Do not consume more than three to four raw cloves of garlic a day.

Patients having heart and other problems should take medical advice before consuming it.

It’s best to avoid garlic before any surgery because it could probably disturb Anticoagulants.

If you are on any medication, always check with your doctor first before taking raw garlic.

Asthma patients should not use it as it worsens the symptoms of Asthma.

If you have sensitive skin, I recommend not using physically on the affected area. Raw garlic can burn delicate skin! Do not use directly on skin if your skin is sensitive or susceptible to rashes or other skin reactions without consulting your doctor first. People who are or may be allergic to garlic or any of its sulfur compounds shouldn’t try direct garlic application on skin too.

SIDE-EFFECTS :

Although, garlic is a natural Anti-biotic but a very small number of people have been known to exhibit Hypersensitivity to garlic. Garlic allergy includes skin rash, temperature and headaches. Garlic intolerance could result in Heartburn or Flatulence.

How Do I Contribute To Solve The Community Problems
                 Voice Of Special People

(RESEARCH BASED ARTICLE PREPARED FOR UNITED NATIONS AND THE WORLD BANK )

“I Am Only one. But still, I am one. I cannot do every thing, but still I can do something, and because I cannot do every thing, I will not refuse to do something that I can do.”

     “EDWARD EVERETTHALE”

The major community problem for which I have contributed my efforts is the problem of “THE RIGHTS OF SPECIAL PEOPLE”. I have worked as a teaching/counseling/social with the “Special People” of our “Community” since 7 years. Since from my childhood, I had an intention to social work for the special people, because I had a natural bond of attachment with them. To accomplish my wish, I chose “SPECIAL PEOPLE COMMITTEE” of our community so that I could bring change in their lives. I dealt with all type of students from the category of Profound, Severe, Moderate, Mild, but specially I have worked with “The Border Line” students who want their rights; Who face the major problem in every society in every community; Who wants their creativity to explore in front of others; Who awaits for the love from others; Who wants other to accept them as a Normal Being. “The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step”. “Chinese proverb” And that chance of Volunteer service for these beloved special children was the first step of mine towards my journey to work for their RIGHTS. “I believe that every individual can make a difference”.

I thanks God that these lovely students trusted me, gave me the bond of relationship, accepted me whole-heartedly in just my first year of Volunteer Service. They shared all of their problems with me and I thank God for giving me the special power for being accepted by them.

I have heard their voices, their shivered Pleadings, their wishes, their expectations. But still, they need every one in the society to hear them, to care them and to love them.

I had even faced many problems from our community while working for their RIGHTS. I could say this that

"Though I am young but even than I am mature"

I can’t do every thing in this world but yes I have brought a little change in their lives, which is the big reward for me.

On this international plat form I want to raise their voice. I want to be their voice to tell you all the problems, which all the special people are facing. The problems, which need to be resolute, could only be possible by joining hands together.

The following are the major problems, which my community special people of “border line” category are facing, which has been identified by me are: • They want to get proper EDUCATION. • They want to get their RIGHTS. • They want others to TREAT THEM PROPERLY. • They want every one to stop calling them “SPECIAL”. • They want others to treat them as “NORMAL HUMAN BEING OF THE SOCIETY”. • They want to Marry. • They want FREEDOM OF SPEECH. • They want JOBS to begin their INDEPENDENT LIFE. • They want SOCIAL SECURITY. • They want to participate in INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIONS. • They want the PLATFORMS to show their talent to this world. • They want every one in the society, to MAKE THEM THEIR FRIENDS.

I want to share my experiences with you, that in what way I have helped few of my community special students of “borderline” to bring change in their lives and I would like to share my efforts and my initiative with you.

FIRSTLY, in order to aware community people about their problems, I worked with special children and identified the problems, which they are facing.

Next, I wrote an article” I ADORE SPECIAL PEOPLE WHY DON’T YOU?" In which I wrote about their rights and distributed in it to the community people so that they can be made aware about their personal needs and their rights. People, specially the younger members of our community showed positive gestures and showed their keen interest to know more about them after reading my Article. In this way I made the people of my community well aware about their needs and expectations from the society.

Next, I participated in the workshops in which I presented speech on special people in front of their parents. I faced many problems because I came to know that many of the special students were dishearten because their parents do not understand them. Next, I personally visited many of the parents of my community and made them well aware about their wants, needs, and expectations from their family members.

I AM ADDING SOME OF THE EXAMPLES OF MY BELOVED SPECIAL CHILDREN, WHO’S LIFE, HAS BROUGHT LITTLE CHANGE THROUGH MY EFFORTS AND NOW THEY ARE LEADING A GOOD LIFE WITH LOTS OF CONFIDENCE.

Their weeps, their words, their expressions, their gestures; all had made me realized just one thing that still in Pakistan in all the major communities, SPECIAL PEOPLE ARE NOT TREATED AS A NORMAL HUMAN BEING. Even though I know that they are the special stars of our society. They have made our nation proud too by participating in Special Olympics Worldwide in 2004,but still they re-bounded with loads of pressures. I have brought changes in few lives, but the question is, who will solve the problems and issues of all the special people of every community? Who will guide them?

Following are my students, who have solved many of their problems through my efforts and counseling. I am just quoting examples of few of my students. Name will not be disclosed; therefore I am using ALPHABETIC REPRESENTATIONS on the behalf of their names.

One of the experiences, which I would like to share, is the experience of one beautiful girl “A” is 25 years old. Her parents and family friends always discouraged her in many of her personal decisions. She is a “Border line” female student. Her family treated her very badly during her early age. Just because of seeing the family fights since from her early age, she had her first Epilepsy attack at the age of 10. She bears many hardships and had face many physical punishment from her family. She was the first student of mine whom I studied very carefully. She wanted to participate in sports.

For that, I went to her family, talked with them, and made them realized about their insanity, which made her daughter fearful. I told her family about the talents, which their daughter had. She was medically treated for her epilepsy and free medicines were provided to her by MY COMMUNITY HOSPITAL. I trained her for sports. From that day, her life changed and after continuous efforts and with her family positive gesture, she participated in “The World Olympics” in 2004,and won medal too. The smile, which was seen on her face, was the first victory of my effort, which made me realize that at least I have brought a little change in her life. She firstly shared her victory with me, which was the precious virtual reward for me.

NOW, she is working at her neighbor’s house and earn around 100$ a month. She has her own mobile, which she brought from her own salary. She is also a volunteer coach of our Community. She always wished to be TREATED AS NORMAL CHILD. The good thing is that NOW SHE IS TREATED AS A NORMAL CHILD BY HER FAMILY. The only problem, which is not yet solved, is the PROBLEM OF HER MARRAIGE. She wants to marry and want to live happy life.

The next girl is “B”. She had many traumatic experiences, which she had personally shared to me in her counseling session. Her wish is to MARRY and to GET SOCIAL SECURITY. She explained me that her parents told her that you are SPECIAL and you CAN’T MARRY. She further added that one man in her building tries to sodomize her, touch her and use bad words. That man told “B” many times to come with him to his house. “B” is a brave girl is not special from mind. My question is: How any one can tell this situation if he/she is special?

Though she is borderline student but I guess she is a normal child. She thinks, she evaluates every thing and Understands many things. Firstly, she went to her aunt with whom she lives. Her mom is always busy in her work and her father is not alive. Her aunt ignores this serious issue. “B” wants FREEDOM OF SPEECH. She wanted to express her feelings. Many denied the serious issue, which she was facing. I counseled her. She was taught how to handle such situation in future. I went to her aunt and asked her how she can tolerate this serious matter. I told her family members that she is also normal and she also needs freedom of speech. Her family now treats her in much better way than before. “B” her self told me, “I am not mental. if that man try to touch me again, I will not leave her and would insult her in front of every one because I am not MENTAL RETARDED”. She also wants to marry in her life but still her family doesn’t want to talk about this matter.

What changes were brought in her life? Now she knows HOW TO HANDLE THE SITUATIONS. She is MORE CONFIDENT. She ACTIVELY PARTICIPATES IN COMMUNITY WORKS and lastly, she is getting education which is funded by OUR COMMUNITY.I have counseled her for several months on many issues. I have taught her how to be brave and I have told her how to ask for her rights.

Am I insane? Who am I? Where I am? Why me? The questions were spoken by one of the next brilliant student of mine “C” who is again a “borderline” child and had many wishes to go on. But because of NO JOB PLACEMENT for him and NON SUPPORTIVE FAMILY, HE DECLARES HIMSELF AS A MENTAL, ILLETERATE, USELESS CREATURE ON THE EARTH. I taught her since 7 years and he is a true friend of mine. The problems, which he is facing in the community and society, are: Firstly HE WANTS TO GO ABROAD. His wish is to see the world. Even though his family had been many times abroad but never took him with them because in their view their child is MENTALLY RETARTED. Secondly HE WANTS A GOOD JOB. Thirdly, HE WANTS TO TRAVEL BY BUS INDEPENDENTLY. He also wants to laugh and wants his family to love him. He wanted other to make him friend. He also wants to participate in sports. HE WANTS TO REMOVE THE TERM “SPECIAL” FROM THIS SOCIETY. I still remember that when “The world Trade Center” was abashed and I didn’t know this news, this guy came to me and told me that, “Did u hear the news that in New York America there was a blast in The World Trade Center? This sentence shocked me and I asked her how u knows? He told me that I saw it on TV and sharing with you that why people are creating such riots in this world this is bad. Are these words ever spoken by insane? Never. He is normal. I declare it and I mean it. He is normal and perfectly all right. I asked him who entered you in our community special school? He answered me that her mom admitted her in special committee. He told me that he is not special and he doesn’t like his parent for this kind of behavior towards him. He wants to start his own business for that he asked many times to his family to help him and to the community people as well but no one showed him positive gesture for help.

WHAT I DID FOR HIM? I taught him the jute work on bottle. He did that and started selling it in our community and in this way, he started his own small business. He wanted to participate in sports. I taught him badminton and bocce and by the grace of GOD, he participated in ALL Pakistan Special Sports in the year 2003. He needs a friend and he got me as a friend and many of my other students whom I give religious studies in our community also talks with him humbly and love him very much. Now whenever he meets me, I see magnificent smile on his face. He wants just one thing that is the support from his family, which is still missing. He wants to sit in bus. Now, He earns around 20$ every month from his jute bottle work. When his family came to know about it, they threaten him not to do so because according to his family it’s an insulted work and they don’t want him to sell his hand made decorated bottles in the market. His big brother has slapped him too, but still he is struggling for his rights and selling his bottles. I want to ask every parents in this world that if their child is normal, can also think, can imagine every thing, then why community and family pressure is still in every society creates a barrier for them?

They don’t have their own world of thought. They are also the part of us. I, as a human being and a social worker tried to find work place for “C” but WHO WILL FIND A WORK PLACE FOR OTHERS?

What little change I have brought in his life? Now he is selling decorated bottles hand made and he has gained a lot of confidence. He participates actively in social functions and he feels himself as a normal being

Our community is very supportive responsive, careful and being the part of this community I would like to say that though there are many community problems they are facing, but still I am trying my best to help them. “Individual problems can be resolute easily but what about the problems of special people instill to be addressed worldwide”.

One more student “D” who starts using drugs because of the carelessness of his family. He was not special but just because of the changes in his behavior; his family took him to enter the special school. His dream was to STUDY IN A NORMAL SCHOOL but his family shattered it. He wanted to work, but he was discouraged by many community people and in social gatherings by commenting him as a mental. He is now 20 years old.

Changes that I brought in his life.

I met his family who co-operated with me and now he is studying in the normal school in class 6. He is actively participating in community service and he is now also the member of WORLD SCOUT. Great thing is that HE IS NOW LIVING A NORMAL LIFE. Now moving towards another brave hero who wants to become the Indian actor in his life. He is talented, Brilliant and active. He LOVES TO DANCE, TO SING SONG AND TO PLAY ORGAN. He knows, how to cook food and how to prepare bed for sleep and many more things, but he lacks social gatherings. His name is “X”, who lives his life actively. His dreams are unlimited…

WHAT I DID FOR HIM? I taught him organ. I taught him singing. I listens to him and I am proud that now he is able to communicate In social gathering with much more confidence. There are many other students whose life was changed by little efforts of my community service. I came to know many of their problems and have tried my best to work for it.

WHAT HAVE I ACCOMPLISHED? HOW HAVE I MEASURED THE RESULT OF MY WORK? • I have tried my best to identify the problems, which they face in their daily lives. • I have tried to motivate my students to participate in International Events. • I have tried to counsel them and their parents. • I have resolute much of their problems. • I have tried to bring smiles on their faces • I have tried to find out work place for few students. • I have raised their issues in front of MINISTER FOR SPECIAL PEOPLE AND SOCIAL WELFARE FOR PAKISTAN, MISS ZUBAIDA JALAL, in the seminar organized by our community. • I have tried to aware my community by participating in debating issues and by writing awareness articles. • I have seen remarkable changes in behavior of some special students. • I have seen positive gestures of the society towards them.

Though I have not accomplished every thing but still I have accomplish some thing. I have also tried to aware my other students gathering in religious education center and in my private tuition center about their rights, their expectation from the society, their dreams etc.

I taught my community, my students, their parents to be with them and to listen them. I have sat with special people to make them feel that they are also the part of our community. I have Chitchat with them why?? To make them realize that they are not alone that we are here to listen them. I have walked with them shared my feelings with them Obviously this work is innovative and I have also gained a lot while bringing changes in their lives. I never want to get reward for my social work because I know it’ll receive it from God one day. My work was never appreciated but personally, I am satisfied thyself by bringing change in their attitude and lives. ALL I WANT IS TO RAISE MY VOICE INTERNATIONALLY FOR THEIR RIGHTS; FOR THEIR FREEDOM; TO SHARE WHAT THEY WANTS; I WANT TO SHARE MY EXPERIENCES; THE PROBLEMS THAT THEY ARE FACING AND WANT TO GIVE MY IDEAS HOW TO REDUCE THESE PROBLEMS.

I am just waiting for the platform to raise my voice and I wish that this international competition would help me to share my feelings with other delegates soon.

This work is innovative itself. Meeting different children, couseling them, meeting their parents, asking about their needs, loving them, caring them, thus every thing was magical and innovative. It has made me aware about their problems, about their needs and this work has changed my whole life too. I have tried my level best to work innovatively but My efforts would be more innovative if these ideas would be implemented by every community by joining hands with me as these ideas could only be possible to be addressed, if every society, every community will join their hands with me. • Inclusive education should be made compulsory in every school as the part of their curriculum. • Awareness campaign for student’s parent’s teacher should be raised in every community. • Their needs should be addressed. • Awareness should be made through telecasting movies and drama on their issues. • SPECIAL students should not be called special. • Competition should be raised in every community for younger students to make them aware about them and their rights. • They must get rights to study in normal schools with special needs. • Government should setup new curriculum for them. • Psychological testing should be made compulsory to identify their needs and area of attention. • They must get work place opportunity, which is lack in Pakistan. They must get jobs in government institutions also.

I CAN IMPROVE MY IMPACT, • By participating in international competitions to raise awareness. • By participating in awareness campaigns. • I want to do more courses. I want to study more about them and I want to write a book named as I Adore Special People Why don’t you? In order to aware this whole world about their rights. • By developing new curriculum for them the national policy level. • By providing them educational facilities and social justice. • I can improve my impact more by raising funds for them and by finding more work place opportunities for them. • By becoming the Ambassador for Special People in Pakistan. • By truly implementing the human right laws, made by UN. • By motivating them more enthusiastically. • By making them participate in more International contest. • I am now planning to design a teaching curriculum which will be integrated with audio visual aids and I also want to arrange workshop for community students, teachers, parents and every one, to aware them about their problems. Youth must also devote their time to listen and care special people. Youth must help me to find work place for them. Youth must aware every one in their own families about their rights.Youth must try to sought out the problems which they are facing. Youth must love them and respect them like I do, in every aspect of life and must learn some thing from their lives.Youth must learn from my experience that my struggle is the struggle of one and if they joins hand in hand then no matter what, special students can also become the part of our lives.
