Mynydd-y-Garreg RFC

Mynydd-y-Garreg RFC play in Division 1 of the Llanelli & District League. They were founded in 1985 and have gone from strength to strength ever since. The highlight of their 21 season history is when they won the Llanelli & District League Championship in 2001/02. The team was captained by Outside-Half Matthew Lloyd and coached by Simon Mansfield and Steve Thomas. Mynydd-y-Garreg RFC have many stalwarts playing for the club. Players like, flanker Elfryn Lewis, lock Mike Thomas and Prop Jimmy Smith are still going strong and indeed were there from day one, when the club played their very first fixture at Crymych RFC in 1985. The club is currently coached by Aneurin Gravell, and captained by centre Andrew Thomas for the 2006-07 season.
