Natomas, Sacramento, California

Natomas is a community in northwestern Sacramento, California. Natomas is the last area of Sacramento that has not been fully developed, and has seen major residential development in the 1990s and 2000s.
ARCO Arena, home court to the Sacramento Kings and Monarchs,and the now disbanded Sacramento Knights, is in Natomas. The neighborhood school district is Natomas Unified School District.
There are several neighborhoods that comprise the Natomas neighborhood of Sacramento. Natomas is generally defined as south of the Sacramento County line, north of the Garden Highway and the American River, west of the Natomas East Main Drain, and east of the Sacramento River.
The Greater Natomas area is served by several community web sites including a Sacramento County Web Site[1], NatomasToday.com[2]and the Natomas Community Association[3]. These community Web sites provide information and news about the community, weather, traffic, and events.
North Natomas includes several sub-divisions including Natomas Park[4], Westlake[5], Heritage Park, Regency Park, and Creekside.

Natomas is in represented by the Roger Dickinson the District 1 representative of the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors [8] and by Ray Tretheway the District 1 representative of the Sacramento City Council.[9]
The Natomas Basin Conservancy[10] serves as plan operator for the Natomas Basin Habitat Conservation Plan. It acquires and manages habitat land for the benefit of the 22 "special status" species covered under the Plan.
