[edit] Logos
There is a discussion to clarify our policy/guideline on the use of sports team logos. Please see Wikipedia_talk:Logos#Clarification_on_use_of_sports_team_logos if you wish to participate in the discussion. Johntex\talk 16:44, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
Part of me wants to call this I-AAA independents, but I guess that wouldn't be proper since NDSU and SDSU do sponsor football and not sponsoring football is what makes a team I-AAA. However, it is somewhat inappropriate for this to only be referred to as a basketball structure since most of the teams that are independent here are independent in other sports. --Cliedl 07:37, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Schools transitioning
I removed three schools from this page which should NOT be added back again:
-North Dakota: has announced their intentions to move to Division I, but have not begun the process yet.
-South Dakota: have announced that they will investigate the feasibility of moving to D-I, but have not officially announced that they will make the move.
-Cal State Bakersfield: are moving to D-I, but are not playing a full Division I schedule, therefore not including them as a Division I member at this time.
Once these schools move along with their reclassification, they should reappear here. --fuzzy510 07:51, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
