Neo Double Games

The Neo Double Games is an imitation of the Nintendo DS. It is made by the same Chinese company that produces the Popstation and is sold in flea markets in Spain and China. The box, however, is largely based from the PlayStation Portable rather than the Nintendo DS. The manufacturing is of low quality — the lid of the console is poorly attached and does not stay open, and the LED screen does not function correctly. Although it has two screens and looks otherwise fairly similar to the DS, the two screens are in fact four optional game cartridges of which two have been reviewed by Dr. Ashen. These game cartridges are swapped to change between the different games, such as a soccer game and a game labelled "Street Fighter."

In a recent review by comedian Dr. Ashen, both games were shown to be hard or otherwise impossible to play and both the Soccer and "Street Fighter" game are practically identical.

The Neo double games console, has also appeared on www.ebay.co.uk where it is being sold for between five and ten pounds. The console, really only has one game, however it is a misconception from the manufacture that the "cartridges" are a just a new background and animation overlay, as in fact, the memory on which the game is stored on is contained in the double games body.

The Neo's Screen, despite being called "color" is in fact only a three colour screen, consisting of a Green, Red and White colour system.

The console is ultimately a Game and Watch console, as all the screen consists of is symbols, which are in predefined areas of the screen which simply light up when required.

It is interesting to note that Nintendo have not pursued the manufacturers of the Neo Double Games, as the console is almost a con to make people think it is a "bargain" DS, and the logo that is featured on the front of the box is almost a direct copy of the real DS with the words substituted as required.

The company also made a delight version, which is a cheap imitation of the Nintendo DS Lite
