[edit] Incorrect Facts
1. Factual
To quote the article:
"...Malaysian Internal Security Act (ISA), which is an act that lock the accused (mostly opposition party members)..."
The Internal Security Act or ISA for short is an act very much like the Patriot Act in the US, except that Terrorism isn't the main concern of ISA. Malaysia, being a multicultural and multireligious society has prooven in the past to be extremely prone to bloody racial conflicts which start from small disputes.
The politics in Malaysia is greatly influenced by race and religion, and this is the sparking point of many conflicts. The ISA is a product of the Malaysian (then Malayan) government to curtail early communist brutalities in Malaysia, however in the modern day, this law also enables the arrest of other groups of people like Terrorists and people who incite racial or religious hatred.
Though there is some talk about the law being used to arrest political rivals of the ruling government, it has never been prooven and is still debatable.
2. Factual
To quote the article:
"As much as he is regarded as political opponent, he is also well respected by them even by former Prime Minister Mahathir"
I challenge the truth in the above quoted sentance.
Many times, Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad (former PM of Malaysia) has slandered Nik Aziz in public, largely because Mahathir believes Nik Aziz is using the name of Islam to achieve his political aspirations. This has been said by Mahathir himself during various press conferences in the past (during and after his tenure as Prime Minister of Malaysia).
3. Glorification
To quote the article:
"Despite his position as the head of the Kelantan State, Tuan Guru lives in his small house and leads a very moderate life instead of using an official government residence."
Instead of a statement, this sentance has a tone which seems to glorify Nik Aziz.
4. Suggestion:
I dispute the neutrality of this article and the factual accuracy of this article. I would likt to suggest that this article be re-written.

- Concerning number one, see Operation Lalang and read up on the events of the late 1990s for proofs. I however agree that the "(mostly opposition party members)" part should be removed to maintain neutrality. __earth (Talk) 04:11, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] X
I ammended the words opposition politician to clearly differentiate between a politician alligned to the government and a politician alligned to the opposition. Also, I replaced the words Chief Minister with Menteri Besar as this is more appropriate.
[edit] Propaganda
this page sounds more like propaganda crap than a genuine wikipedia page.i would edit it but then people might say i am prejudiced.so i leave it to you. - anon
agreed 150%. just count how many times the term "well-respected" was mentioned. it just makes me sick. this article desperately needs a cleanup. - anon
I have nothing against Nik Aziz but I agree with the above 2 comments. There's too much propaganda and vague terms. i have edited this phrase: "he is well received and also receives support from a number of non-Muslims in and outside of Kelantan."
