Producer, composer, rhythm guitarist and founder member of Chic. His solo production credits include Madonna, Jeff Beck, David Bowie, David Lee Roth, Mick Jagger and Duran Duran. As well as his work with Chic he has also written soundtracks for Beverly Hills Cop III ,Earth Girls Are Easy and Coming to America.

- Good Times signals the start of the take-off of hip hop music as its sample immensely contributed to the success of SugarHill Gang's Rapper's Delight, the first rap hit ever.
I'm pretty sure it was not a sample, but was replayed by the Sugarhill house band. Not quite sure enough (nothing to cite) to change the article though - can anyone confirm?
