Ninja Burn

The term Ninja Burn is used to describe any situation in which a clever insult is delivered unexpectedly and with a certain finesse.
Here are a few examples of situations in which the term applies.
- A person not previously believed to be part of a conversation chimes in suddenly with a burn to one of the established participants.
- A person sitting at his or her desk is burned by a passer-by.

One example of the Ninja Burn being used in popular culture is the scene in the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy in which Wowbagger, the Infinitely Prolonged lands unexpectedly in front of Arthur Dent and insults Arthur.
