SPC Martinez, a member of the New Mexico Army National Guard, takes a break during a M42 Duster live fire exercise at Fort Bliss, Texas in July 1982. The New Mexico Army National Guard was one of the last U.S. Army combat units to operate the M42 Duster as its primary weapons system (40 mm Self-Propelled Anti-Aircraft Gun). Photo by Peter Rimar.
