The NMX04-1A is the first attempt by Neogentronyx to create a fully functional mech. At 18ft tall it is a biped (walks upright on two legs), and has two arms, it is humanoid in appearance. Walking as we do it will be able to walk much faster due mainly to the distance between its strides, it is not intended for use in the civilian world as such machines would pose a danger to those around them as well as the risk already taken on by the pilots themselves.

Initially our mechs will be used for entertainment purposes and will eventually be fitted to fight in a large arena designed to accommodate these great machines. This is of course after prototype testing has proven that such a thing is feasible which we believe it will.
The pilot control is a special system called mech interface manual integration control (mimic) system, designed specifically to allow the mech to emulate any movement done by the controlling pilot of the mecha. Safety features include a pilot harness, helmet, suspension backboard, shock absorption, external sensors, and force-back pads, so the pilot can feel what the mecha would feel were it capable of feeling anything at all, a completely encompassing steel cage which will protect against falls and plating which will protect against any possible penetration into the pilot control area.
In an arena setting there will be several blunt weapons designed for the mecha to be able to wield against opposition. No sharp penetrating weapons will be allowed in the arena as death and injury are not to be a part of the sport. The only thing being damaged and disabled will be the mechs. That makes for a rather expensive sport, but entertaining nonetheless.
The weight shifting presents a minor obstacle as the design, and interface alleviate the majority of this as being an issue. For its size the NMX04-1A will be very well balanced and able to shift its weight almost automatically due to the weight shifting system and balancing which has carefully been integrated into the system.The specifics of which cannot be released as of yet until certain design matters have been resolved.
The dexterity of the NMX04-1A will allow for fluid movement rather than hard rugged movements, so that it moves more like a person and less like a 18ft tall Humanoid machine.

Mecha may be used during construction in high pressure environments like deep underwater, not only would it be a construction module, but it would also act as a life pod, and even living quarters for the occupying pilot.
Perhaps one day they may find themselves in space for use with the same applications in a vacuum type airless environment. Again onboard life support and thrust systems would make the units virtually like a living quarters which would also be usable as a work environment, and should it be needed, they could even serve as a lifeboat until help arrived.
Imagine that you are a soldier, pinned down, cut off from the rest of your squadron. There is seemingly no way out, and hope fades as the enemy draws nearer and nearer to your position. You call for reinforcements. Just then you hear it, footsteps, unlike any you have ever heard before, and as they approach the ground feels as though it is beginning to quake. Then they appear.. a specially designed Mecha squadron.
The machines move quickly with their advanced hydraulic systems. Anti-ballistic armor, enormous crafted weaponry and tactical plating make it easy for them to smoothly and precisely take out the enemy with advanced onboard and manual dexterity triggered weapons.
They resemble giant armored soldiers, and though much larger, move with the same speed and agility as a human soldier. That's because the machines are able to perform every task that their trained pilots are capable of performing in real time. Immune to chemical, biological, and radiological warfare the pilots may move forward with unprecedented confidence to complete their missions.
To many this may seem like science fiction and in fact, until this project is complete it will be…
For now, the only difference between science fiction and science fact is only a matter of time, money,and determination.
Fitted with the right technology these Mecha can be readily available to take on just about any situation where a light touch just is not enough.
