Nomee has been derived from "Nom" which is an arabic word meaning sleep. Nomee means sleepy person. This has been used by Muhammad Farrukh Subhani as a nickname since 1981.

Nomee (Complete Name: Muhammad Farrukh Subhani) was born on 24th June 1981 in a village (Bhago) near Kharian, Pakistan. Mother (Shahnaz Kausar) and Father (Talib Hussain Talib) both are professional Teachers and Educationist. He started his education from city of Mirpur (Azad Kashmir - Pakistan).Nomee's father had his job transferred to Islamabad in 1984. Nomee got admission in Islamabad Model College For Boys F-8/4 in March 1985. He studied at this college for 13 years and completed Higher Secondary School Certificate at age of 18. He continued his education and completed his 4 years Bachelours from COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (http://www.ciit.edu.pk) in 2003. He got admission in National University of Sciences and Technology (http://www.nust.edu.pk) in 2003 and complete taught portion of MSc from NUST. In July 2004, John Oakley at University of Manchester (http://www.manchester.ac.uk) accepted him as a Postgrad research student in Digital Image Processing and Nomee completed his MPhil Degree in June 2006. He secured his PhD position at University of Manchester in September 2006. Nomee is studying as a PhD Student at University of Manchester under supervision of Dr. John Oakley.
