[edit] Categories
Hi, we try to follow categories as a tree structure as much as possible. So, Tamil sportspersons should be a sub-cat to the main cat of Tamil people and hence each article should belong to either the main cat or the sub-cat, but not both. You may want to have a look at Wikipedia:Categorisation. Keep up the good work!! --Gurubrahma 10:24, 18 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] License tagging for Image:PadmaBhusan1.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:PadmaBhusan1.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 06:04, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] T. N. Seshan
Can you please confirm that T.N. Seshan is from Tamil Nadu. AFAIK, he is from Palghat. Tintin (talk) 04:30, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
- Okay. I leave it you, though I think that people like Seshan and Chembai are more Malayalis than Tamils. Tintin (talk) 05:04, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
Cota Ramaswami who appears in List_of_people_from_Tamil_Nadu#Cricket is a third generation Tamil. His great grandfather migrated from Nellore in Andhra Pradesh. Should he be moved to List_of_people_from_Tamil_Nadu#Others ? Tintin (talk) 09:34, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks. Cota Ramaswami was the son of Buchi Babu Naidu who is usually regarded as the father of Madras cricket (An outside source to confirm this part). Regarding the ancestry of Buchi Babu, I quote from S Muthiah, The spirit of Chepauk, p.236 (this is a book on the history of cricket in Madras) : Buchi Babu's first contact with cricket began when his grandfather, the first member of the family to migrate to Madras from Nellore, Mothavarappu Dera Venkataswami Naidu, who became the dubash of Parry's in the first half of the nineteenth century, went to England on a holiday. Btw, please don't in any way assume that I am trying to force anything. You are the main maintainer of the page and the final decision is always yours. Tintin (talk) 07:23, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Velupillai Prabhakaran
Hi Npnkumar, The Velupillai Prabhakaran article is as of now, is almost completely revamped with regard to completely cited information about VP in a NPOV and all evidence is verifiable as stated - SL media, Indian media and the international media. Complete rework has been done on this article. Please read through it again, with all the exact citations and references provided and also some redundant sections trimmed down.
As of now this article, IMHO, seems to be perfectly NPOV - his murders, assasinations are also cited with evidence and so are his achievements as a military leader, both sides are portrayed equally - This should be fine enough for the reader to make a good, informed decision about VP.
Let me know your opinions. Please read through it again if any fine-tuning is required. Sudharsansn 18:58, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
