[edit] Welcome
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- How to edit a page
- Editing, policy, conduct, and structure tutorial
- Picture tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Naming conventions
- Manual of Style
- The Five Pillars of Wikipedia
- Merging, redirecting, and renaming pages
- If you're ready for the complete list of Wikipedia documentation, there's also Wikipedia:Topical index.
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) will produce your name and the current date. You should always sign talk pages, but not articles. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Ann Heneghan (talk) 18:18, 10 November 2005 (UTC)
{{unblock|This IP (61.91.191.11) is not an open proxy. It is the main route from my ISP and cannot be changed. That means whoever uses this ISP will not able to edit any article on Wikipedia English. That is the main problem for most of people in Thailand. My IP (124.121.126.*) also is different from the blocked IP so this must be unreasonable.}}
- Please wait a moment, I'm looking into this. Sorry for the inconvenience. Fut.Perf. ☼ 10:26, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
- Seeing you are a trustworthy user, I've gone out on a limb and changed the IP block to a "soft" one. You ought to be able to edit through it now when logged in. I must note, however, that this is subject to review by the open proxy experts, who might re-block if they find the proxy is in fact still "open". Fut.Perf. ☼ 10:45, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Translation Request
Hello Octahedron80, I´ve found this list about Thai players who participated at the 1972 AFC Asian Cup. Could you help me by translating this names into English? Thank you very much. --Al1976 11:18, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
- ดุสิต ไชยจงมี = Dusit Chaichongmi
- ประเสริฐ กฤษณะมิตร = Prasoet Kritsanamit
- ศุภชัย พิรัฐโยธิน = Suphachai Phiratyothin
- สมาน ธูปประสาท = Saman Thupprasat
- สิน ทับมณี = Sin Thapmani
- สุรศักดิ์ ตัณฑดิลก = Surasak Tanthadilok
- อาจิณต์ พฤกษธรรมโกวิท = Achin Phrueksathammakowit
However, this is standard transcription (not called translation) by Royal Institute. Their names may be spelled in different alphabets depended on their own selves.--Octra Bond 15:13, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] request unblock
I am using True as same as earlier but I don't know why my route changed to this IP? I don't understand neither. There was no sign when my ISP changed my routed IP. I have to report this to you. Sincerely, I cannot set their proxy myself.--Octra Bond 16:02, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
- I have changed the parameters of the latter IP address's block to allow edits by registered users. - Mike Rosoft 10:24, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you--me
[edit] Rocket Festival
Thanks for the conversion chart in Thai Solar Calendar. Now, please check out Rocket Festival and its talk page to see if you can help with that. Does พญาแถน mean King of the Sky for sure, and do you have English-language reference for Nang Ai and Pha Dang? Lee 15:45, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
