[edit] Biography
Oh No! Oh My! is the brainchild of multi-instrumentalists Greg Barkley and Daniel Hoxmeier - residents of Austin, Texas who developed an interest in music to pass the time while being home-schooled. [1] After joining forces with drummer Joel Calvin, Barkley and Hoxmeier formed The Jolly Rogers. A decision to drive the band in a new direction resulted in a name change - the current Oh No! Oh My! moniker was inspired by a The Robot Ate Me song.[2]
The group moved to Nashville, Tennessee to continue with their music, where they played several local shows, experimented with their lineup, and released their debut, self-titled album. In fall of 2006, the trio left Nashville to play a series of shows across the U.S., including opening for The Flaming Lips, and took on two additional touring members, Tim Regan (of the band Antenna Shoes) and Will McDonald, a former Belmont University student.
