Talk:Okehampton
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Since when has Okehampton camp been in the hands of the Marines? I've never heard it referred to as a Marines facility. What's the authority for this assertion? It may be right but it doesn't jibe with my local knowledge. seglea 17:58, 5 Mar 2004 (UTC)
- I've just checked. The camp is managed by the Army Training Estate, and though it may be used by the RM, there's no evidence that it is a Marines facility particularly. I have reverted the edit by an anonymous user that declared it to be so. seglea 18:04, 5 Mar 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Bypass
In 1988 or 1989 the bypass was the first to be built on National Park land. Perhaps this needs a mention. Totnesmartin 21:43, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
