The old vic
the old vic theater is in the waterloo area of london on the corner of the cut and waterloo road. The old vic bulidng is 200 yrs old. The old vic theater opened in 1818 as the coburg, and was then renamed the royal victoria in 1833,which was soon then known as the old vic. in 1914 Lillian baylis organised a company for the old vic to become a shakespearean repertory and in 9 yrs (1923) all shakespears worked had finally bben presented. After the death of lillian baylis the old vic was used for actor training, by directors such as michel st.denise
