Omar Quintanilla (born October 24, 1981, in El Paso, Texas) is a Major League Baseball shortstop playing for the Colorado Rockies. He was initially drafted by the Oakland Athletics, but in 2005, while still a minor leaguer, he was traded along with outfielder Eric Byrnes to the Rockies for pitchers Joe Kennedy and Jay Witasick. Subsequently, on July 31, 2005, he made his debut with the Rockies.
