Once Upon a Time Machine is episode number 107 of the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon series. It is the second episode of season 5 (1991). This episode of the show was written by Michael Maurer. It originally aired on September 17, 1991, on CBS.

Time travel is the theme in this episode, and the episode name Once Upon a Time Machine is a word play with the four words starting most fairy tales in the English Language: Once upon a time.

In this episode, Hokum Hare discovers that The Shredder uses a time train to travel to the future and become a crimelord in an era without crimes. Shredder originally proposes to travel to the year 3000, long after the TMNT have passed away so that he won't have any TMNT to encounter and destroy. However, Krang makes an error in the programming of the time portal, located in a subway tunnel, and when Shredder and the mutants pass through the portal, they end up only in the year 2036. The turtles and Hokum jump on the time train. When they arrive in the future they find the elder versions of the turtles, who are retired.
