Oompas
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Oompas are chewy candies that come in a wide variety of flavors: Green Apple, Cherry, Lemon, Orange, Grape, and Strawberry, though they were previously similar to today's peanut butter M&M's, and for a time, were available in a chocolate and strawberry (instead of peanut butter) variety. They are sold by Nestlé under their The Willy Wonka Candy Company brand.
They are named after The Oompa-Loompas from the Roald Dahl children's book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
