osFinancials is an open source accounting software package, started in august 2006 and is released under the GPL. It was forked from the open sources of TurboCASH. The developers have implemented the Firebird (database server) in the software for (external-) data storage and enhancing the multi-user capabilities.

Being developed in Delphi, the client runs on Windows and the database on Linux, Windows, and a variety of Unix platforms. osFinancials integrates directly with the open source products osCommerce, CRE Loaded and Zen Cart. The community and developers are developing and testing the integrations further with Vtiger_CRM, also an open source product.

The osFinancials Foundation is an independent organisation (a Dutch "stichting"), acting as a non-profit public benefit corporation, with the following goals:

To establish services for active users and developers of osFinancials
To maintain and improve the current osFinancials product via a public accessible source code system under the GNU GPL license
To establish funding or revenue mechanisms that serve the foundation's goals and cover the foundation's expenses
To give the worldwide Internet community access to accounting software.
