Otis Harlan

Otis Harlan (December 29, 1865 - January 21, 1940) was an actor who did the voiceover of "Happy" in "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" (1937). Harlan was born in Zanesville, Ohio in 1865. Harlan got married to Nellie Harvey and had a daughter named Maria Harvey. Harlan started acting in vaudeville shows beginning in 1911, acting in Irving Berlin's ragtime musicals. Harlan also appeared in the very popular Broadway show which was "Show Boat" (1929). In the 1930s, Harlan was hired by Walt Disney and did many voiceovers for many Disney movies. Harlan got the part as "Happy" in the Disney classic "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" (1937). Harlan died in Martinville, Indiana of a stroke on January 21, 1940 at the age of 74.
