POV because: The status of Kashmir and Arunachal Pradesh is not depicted correctly. =Nichalp «Talk»= 10:55, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
In fact, Kashmir and Arunachal Pradesh are actually shown as being part of Pakistan, which is grossly incorrect and malicious.
-- Check the date: 'Pakistan before the Bangladesh War in 1971. Then East Pakistan became what is now known as Bangladesh and West Pakistan became Pakistan.' - Subtitle to the map. Also, refer to the Wiki page of Kashmir, to see why this map is somewhat integral in understanding the history surrounding Kashmir. And since the nature of this map reflects what the borders once were, it's neither incorrect nor malicious. And I quote from the Kashmir Wiki page: 'Both Pakistan and India claim the entire Kashmir region to be their integral part based on geographic and political background. This issue has remained a point of contention between the two countries ever since independence from British rule in 1947. Both countries have fought three wars over the Kashmir issue apart from other localised fighting.' And thus, we have a legitimate map. - Joe Caron 74.12.8.13 15:10, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
-- Whether the map is before or after the bangla war is irrelevant. From the looks of it, its a political map. Hence, while the line of control is disputed, the political border between india and pakistan is not. Which is to say that as far as the political boundries are concerned, kashmir is politically completely part of India. Hence the map is incorrect. Kashmir is part of Pakistan geographically and Politically
