From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Pariolino (pl. pariolini) (properly, an inhabitant of upper middle class Roman district of Parioli) is a slang term originating in Rome that refers to a person who is known to wear smart and fashionable clothing. Brands favoured by pariolini include Gucci, Dolce and Gabbana, and Prada.
The term is often used in a disparaging way towards those who are seen as "brand-conscious" and snobby.
An example of a pariolino – though not an Italian one – is the character Dickie Greenleaf from The Talented Mr Ripley.
