- For the Privy Council member, see Paul Girvan (judge).
Paul Girvan is a Northern Irish politician.
After attending Newtownabbey Technical College and the University of Ulster, Girvan worked as an electrical engineer. As a member of the Democratic Unionist Party, he was elected to Newtownabbey Borough Council in 1997, and from 2002-03 served as its mayor.
In 2003, he was elected to the Northern Ireland Assembly, representing South Antrim. In 2005, he was elected to Lisburn City Council, and at the Northern Ireland Assembly election, 2007, he stood in Lagan Valley.
Paul Girvan did not stand in Lagan Valley for the 2007 Assembly Elections. It was Paul Givans who did. Paul Girvan was deselected by the South Antrim Association but became Dr William McCrea's Election Agent. Paul Girvan was also never elected to Lisburn City Council; yet again this was Paul Givans.
