Talk:Pegswood
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Pegswood is a small ex-mining community two miles from Morpeth. It has a population of around 3000 and new houses are being built every other day. It has two social clubs and 5 shops. There is a large green hill known as the pit heap next to a small industrial estate. Crime is low and the people are the salt of the earth. At present a bypass is being built around the village (linking Morpeth and Ashington). This will both cut down on the volume of traffic and improve the quality of life for residents.
