Personal Business is the ninth episode from the first season of the CBS sitcom The Nanny. It first aired December 29th, 1993.
[edit] Synopsis
Maxwell and C.C. are able to book Brock Storm, a soap star, to appear in their latest play. However, Brock makes it a condition of his signing on that Fran goes on a date with him. Fran, who is a huge fan of his work on the soap opera One Day at a Time, is happy to oblige. However, while on the date, Fran is disappointed when Brock turns out to be somewhat of a sleaze. Fran returns home, and it is later revealed that Brock's character on One Day at a Time, Dr. River Shane, has been recast. It is hinted that Fran somehow rendered him impotent.

- Stephen Nichols, who played Brock, is a real life soap star, famous for the role of Steve "Patch" Johnson on Days of our Lives. He parodies his Days character in one scene when he puts a patch over his eye to try to charm Fran.
