There is no mention that a small slice of peripheral vision functions subliminally to detect "threat movement" and triggers peripheral vision reflexes.
Far peripheral vision is monocular vision so that each eye sees a different field.

I think the last comment may be related to what I was thinking... isn't peripheral vision associated with the peripheral nervous system? It seems I've read this elsewhere but the relationship isn't mentioned in either article. Paxfeline 07:16, 21 June 2006 (UTC) hi!!!!!!!!!!!!
