Peter Maniatis was born in February 1970 in Melbourne, Australia.
Peter Maniatis is a well known Victorian based Boxing Promoter, who has been “Promoter of the Year” for the last three (3) years.
Peter Maniatis is a former amateur boxing champion, and Sports Journalist for “The Truth” sports newspaper, for over eight (8) years, and is now the premier Boxing Promoter in Victoria.
Peter Maniatis has been the compère/creator of TVH KO Boxing on Channel 31 television in Victoria since 2002, and has presented over 200 episodes in that time. His guests have included sports stars such as:

• Anthony Mundine, Lionel Rose, Kostya Tszyu, Jeff Fenech, Barry Michael, Lester Ellis, Johnny Famechon, Rocky Matioli, Jeff Harding (Boxing)

Peter Maniatis maintains a base in Los Angeles California, USA, where he, as an amateur, trained with Freddy Roach, at the Wild Card Gymnasium in Los Angeles. Freddy Roach is a Boxing Trainer who has worked with Mike Tyson and actor Sylvester Stallone.
A shoulder injury forced Peter Maniatis to retire from amateur boxing in 1998, and has resulted in Peter Maniatis becoming the No. 1 Boxing Promoter in Victoria winning multimedia awards for six (6) years in a row from 1999 to 2004.
Peter Maniatis has also appeared on ESPN television and FOXTEL television in Australia, the Channel 9 “Footy Show” and on National and International television covering boxing.
Peter Maniatis is currently in discussions with producers and film corporation personnel to create a sports film called “Love of the Game”, starring Hawthorn Football Club former captain, Shane Crawford.
Peter Maniatis has also received praise from Australian boxing and football supporters for his tribute boxing night to the former Collingwood champion, Bob Rose, by holding a “Bob Rose Trophy Night” every winter in Melbourne.
