Pierre Dupasquier

Pierre Dupasquier was the head of Michelin's Competition Department.
Born in France, he spent his early life as a pilot with the French Air Force, but was hired by Michelin's research division in 1962. Five years later, he switched to a representative role in selling Michelin tires to road car companies, and moved to the Competitions Department in 1973.
He led Michelin's two periods of competition in Formula One, from 1977-1984 and from 2001 and until his retirement in 2004. He will be awarded the French Légion d'honneur in December 2006 for his services to French motorsport.[1]
