Pin Index Safety System

The Pin Index Safety System is used for pneumatic connections between a gas cylinder and a machine that uses pressurized gases, i.e. an anesthesia machine. This safety system is used to ensure that cylinders are not connected to the wrong gas yoke.
Each gas cylinder has a pin configuration to fit its respective gas yoke:
