Pitt Meadows Airport (IATA: YPK, ICAO: CYPK) is located in Pitt Meadows, British Columbia, Canada. In 2006 it was the 17th busiest airport in Canada by aircraft movements, a decrease from 2005 when it was 16th with 100,098 movements.

Though in use as a flying field as early as 1916, it wasn't until May 1961, that Canada's Department of Transportation announced its decision to build a new airport at Pitt Meadows that would serve as a satellite to Vancouver International Airport. It would also have a seaplane base on the adjacent Fraser River. The site was 754 acres [283 hectares] in area and, initially, the airport was to have two graded landing strips, 2,500 by 50 feet, one gravel and the other grass.

The airport opened on July 20, 1963. Pitt Meadows is thirty-two kilometers northeast of Vancouver International Airport and serves the area north of the Fraser River from Mission to and including Vancouver. It is a general aviation satellite airport, catering to flying training, aircraft maintenance businesses, and commercial charter operations. A portable control tower began operations in September 1967, and the permanent tower was opened in August 1969. By 1972-1973, Pitt Meadows was the busiest airport in Canada with over 250,000 aircraft movements annually. In 1975 a new seaplane ramp was built providing access to the airport for float aircraft.

But with the opening of Boundary Bay Airport, by the mid 1980s air traffic at YPK declined steadily. In January of 1998, the Districts of Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows jointly took custody from the federal government under the auspices of the Pitt Meadows Airport Society.
